The Building Grade Hemp Hurds is a precise selection of the chosen fractions. Our company has extensive
experience in the hemp building industry and also lead our own research of hemp based building materials in collaboration
with the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. Based on our experience and research
results, we optimized our hurds production for purpose of the hempCrete and hemp-lime composites.
After crushing the hemp on the decortication line, the shives continues to the cleaning unit, where the
remaining parts of the hemp fiber
are removed. The process of sorting into fractions follows. The dust is separated on the finest sieve. Other fractions are
sorted by size. During the sorting process, the dust is also extracted through the air duct.
After cleaning and sorting, we select and mix only the fractions of hemp hurds suitable for use in hempCrete.
